Meet the CEO. 🤓
David Keuenhof
Mission: With Ordio, we are developing the operating system for shift planning of the future. From digital personnel files to time recording, checklists, document management, no-code workflow automation & communication - all in one app.
David: Together with my partner Sofien Kouraichi, I run a restaurant in Cologne with three locations and 125 employees. The challenges in micromanagement combined with high fluctuation led me to develop my own software in order to control the business efficiently on a central platform. Gregor and I already know each other from our first company and decided to develop a cross-industry app for desk-less employees based on our experience in the restaurant industry.
🔝 List up to 3 of your greatest achievements to date.
David:
1. we won allygatr as an investor within 5 days from the first call to the receipt of funds.
2. employees managed through Ordio recommended us to their next employer.
3. goosebumps on the arm of a user during the presentation of the checklist feature 😅.
David: It is incredibly fun to experience how our tool helps our customers.
💡 The most important lesson you have learned so far?
David: A software developed from the own need has incredible competitive advantages against a solution developed from external.
💪 Your biggest challenge so far in founding a startup?
David: We are building a very complex tool with a very small team - the biggest challenge has been to build a team that complements each other in every way.
🎉 What was the best part of founding a startup for you?
David: Goosebumps on the arm of a user ;)
David: Do, do, do. Try, fall down, get up, try again. On the worst days, remember that good days will come again. Giving up is not an alternative to doing it again.
🤝 Why did you join allygatr?
David: Allygatr is not an investor, it is a sparring partner who understood our vision from the first moment.
🐊 How did you find out about allygatr?
David: A mutual friend made the contact. 5 days later the investment was on our account.
✌️ Your "favorite place to be" in Cologne?
David: We only visit companies in Cologne that use Ordio - the list would be too long to list them here ;)
